Rounding to 26 or to 27 minutes is defensible either way. Half an hour is not: it overshoots the video by more than three minutes.
The presentation premiered worldwide on Netflix on Thursday, August 27, 2026 at 3pm ET, on every subscription tier, with subtitles in thirteen languages. Six hours later, at 9pm ET, it went up free on the Rockstar Games YouTube channel and on the official site. The YouTube timestamp puts the upload at August 27, 6:00:48pm Pacific. No commentary, no voiceover, no explanatory card: it is a continuous cut of cutscenes and gameplay, as the BBC noted on August 27, 2026. IGN counted fourteen licensed songs in it. Lucia names the Bayside neighbourhood around 12:32, and the Grassrivers marshes turn up around 17:10, according to the timeline SVG published on August 28, 2026.
Netflix stated flatly that every frame comes from the game running on PlayStation 5, and the closing card repeats it. The official YouTube description reads: “Captured entirely from in-game footage on PlayStation 5, this extended look at the next Grand Theft Auto showcases the biggest, most immersive evolution of the series yet. Grand Theft Auto VI plays best on PlayStation 5. Coming November 19.”
Where to watch it, and under which name
The YouTube version is age-restricted: you have to be signed in to play it, as PCMag noted on August 27, 2026. The official site also offers an uncompressed 4K file to download. Rockstar Games published more than twenty new screenshots the same day.
On rockstargames.com/VI, the product page now lists three video entries in this order: “An Extended Look: Now Playing”, then Trailer 2 from May 2025 and Trailer 1 from December 2023. There has never been a trailer 3. The French Rockstar Games channel calls it “Un large aperçu”.
Twenty hours after it went up, on August 28, 2026 around 8:30pm UTC, the YouTube version showed 8,748,111 views and 1,092,376 likes. Rockstar Games has released no audience figure, for Netflix or for YouTube, where Take-Two did exactly that for trailer 2 in May 2025. The closing card gives November 19, 2026 on PS5 and Xbox Series X|S again, and the video ends without setting a next date.
