GTA 6 characters: the eight official profiles, explained
Rockstar Games has published eight character profiles on its GTA 6 site, and nothing else. They name nine people, spell out who knows whom, and carry no cast credit of any kind.

Grand Theft Auto VI has eight official character profiles, all published on rockstargames.com/VI on May 6, 2025, the day trailer 2 went out. Not one credits a performer. They name nine people, since Real Dimez is a duo, and each entry is filed under a region of the state of Leonida. That is everything Rockstar Games has written about its cast, 82 days before the November 19, 2026 release on PS5 and Xbox Series X|S.
Here are the eight, in the order the site lists them, with the region attached to each.

The right-hand column does not line up with the copy beside it. Boobie Ike is written as “a local Vice City legend”, yet the site files him under the Leonida Keys, while Cal Hampton, whose entire entry plays out at the water’s edge, sits under Vice City. Rockstar has never explained the arrangement.
Jason and Lucia, the only two playable characters
Both protagonists got full names on May 6, 2025 and not before. In trailer 1, on December 4, 2023, Lucia had a first name and nothing else.
Jason’s hook runs to one line: “Jason wants an easy life, but things just keep getting harder.” The profile has him growing up “around grifters and crooks”, doing “a stint in the Army trying to shake off his troubled teens”, then landing in the Keys “working for local drug runners”. Meeting Lucia “could be the best or worst thing to ever happen to him”, the same page says. It leaves it there.
Lucia’s opens on her father: “Lucia’s father taught her to fight as soon as she could walk.” Fighting for her family put her in the Leonida Penitentiary, and “sheer luck got her out”. One line of that entry is the only explicit geographic bridge Rockstar has ever written between GTA 6 and an earlier game: the good life Lucia wants is the one her mother has dreamed of “since their days in Liberty City”, the city of GTA IV. She is the first female protagonist in the main line of the series, though the original Grand Theft Auto, in 1997, split its playable characters evenly between men and women.
Two was not the obvious number. Rob Nelson, head of development and co-studio head at Rockstar North, told Dazed on August 26, 2026 that the studio explored a version of GTA 6 with four playable characters before settling on the pair. GTA V shipped with three. What they built instead is, in the words of Rupert Humphries, senior vice president of narrative at Rockstar, “a Bonnie and Clyde-type narrative”.
The six supporting profiles, and who knows whom
The relationship map is not fan reconstruction. Rockstar writes it into the profiles themselves.
Cal Hampton is “Jason’s friend and a fellow associate of Brian’s”. His is the only one of the eight profiles to open on a question: “What if everything on the internet was true?” The studio then sums him up in one line. “Cal is at the low tide of America and happy there.” He spends his days at home, a few beers within reach, “snooping on Coast Guard comms”.
Boobie Ike is one of the few, the profile says, to have turned his time in the streets into “a legitimate empire spanning real estate, a strip club, and a recording studio”. One line sets out the accounting. “The club money pay for the studio, and the drug money pay for it all.”
Dre’Quan Priest is his partner in the label Only Raw Records. “Dre’Quan was always more of a hustler than a gangster”, the entry says: even while dealing on the street to make ends meet, music was the plan. He booked acts into Boobie’s club, and the site suggests those days “might be numbered” now that he has signed Real Dimez.
Real Dimez are Bae-Luxe and Roxy, friends since high school. Theirs is the only profile that dates a musical past: an early hit single with a local rapper called DWNPLY, five years before the game opens, then “a whole lot of trouble”, then a deal with Only Raw Records. The tagline does the rest of the work. “One hit away from fame.”
Raul Bautista is a seasoned bank robber “always on the hunt for talent ready to take the risks that bring the biggest rewards”. He is reckless enough, Rockstar warns, that “sooner or later, his crew will have to double down or pull their chips from the table”. Two of his lines run to two words each: “Experience counts” and “A professional adapts.”
Brian Heder closes the list. A drug runner “from the golden age of smuggling in the Keys”, he still moves product through his boat yard with Lori, his third wife, and lets Jason live rent-free at one of his properties “so long as he helps with local shakedowns, and stops by for Lori’s sangria once in a while”. Rockstar wrote him one line: “Looks like a Leonida beach bum, moves like a great white shark.”
What the eight profiles leave out
Five silences run through the eight pages.
- No performer, anywhere. The site credits nobody, the Take-Two release of May 6, 2025 credits nobody, and the 26 minutes and 48 seconds of the Extended Look shown on August 27, 2026 end without a cast roll. IGN put the refusal in print on May 7, 2025: “Rockstar isn’t sharing its voice cast for GTA 6 just yet (we asked).”
- No antagonist. Rockstar has never used the word about a GTA 6 character.
- No age, no date of birth, no height, for any of the nine.
- Lori and DWNPLY have no profile of their own, each being named only inside somebody else’s. Lucia’s father, the man who taught her to fight, is never named at all. Neither is her mother.
- No returning character from an earlier GTA has been announced.
Three more names reached the press through those 26 minutes and appear nowhere on the site. Complex reported on August 27, 2026 an Ernesto warning a man called Raymond by phone that a task force was on its way, moments before the raid on the stash house where the first collection sequence plays out. SVG picked out, on August 28, 2026, a police officer named Mendez running a unit that shoots gang members on sight, and listed him among candidates for the villain Rockstar has never designated.
Those missing credits are why this guide names no actor. The names traded around since May 2025 rest on IMDb entries any reader can edit, on ear-matching after the Extended Look, and in one case on a photograph of a T-shirt. Two people have publicly claimed a part, one on June 10, 2026 and one the day after the Extended Look, and Rockstar has answered neither. Vice, writing on August 28, 2026 about the split reaction to Jason’s performance, still had to call the performer officially unknown.
