Four years to the day after the 90 development videos landed on GTAForums, Insider Gaming said on September 18, 2026 that 192GB of files from that same breach are now spreading, mixing early GTA 6 map work with cut GTA 5 content.
: The Paris setting for GTA 5 reported in the files now sits in the piece: jeuxvideo.com describes a semi-open zone, GameRant a single apartment with an Eiffel Tower view.
Insider Gaming says on September 18, 2026 that 192GB of GTA 5 and GTA 6 files are spreading online, and traces them to the September 2022 breach at Rockstar Games, the one that put 90 development videos on GTAForums in a 3GB file. Polygon reported the same day that the GTA 6 share holds maps and 3D building models, most likely from a 2015 prototype rather than a 2023 build.
Insider Gaming wrote on September 18, 2026 that 192GB of Grand Theft Auto V and Grand Theft Auto VI content is circulating online. The site says this is data from the 2022 breach at Rockstar Games resurfacing rather than a fresh intrusion: the files passed between a handful of people before reaching a wider group. PC Gamer writes that the consensus traces the batch to that same Lapsus hack.
The GTA 6 share takes a few lines in the Insider Gaming report: early map assets, described as very low quality renders that resemble areas already seen in the trailers and in the Extended Look of August 27, 2026. That map data loads into GTA 5, PC Gamer reported on September 19, 2026: screenshots posted by TJGM show markers reading Alligator Farm, Coast Guard and Disused Theme Park. Where the markers came from is an open question, the site writes: Rockstar Games staff, or whoever opened the files. TJGM calls the map very unfinished and dates it to 2015, the year Polygon had already settled on. The Vice City map shown since the December 4, 2023 trailer remains the only one the studio has published.
Most of the batch covers GTA 5, and Polygon and Eurogamer read it as a GTA 5 source code leak, where the 2023 leak held about four or five GB. A file named dlcliberty_game.date151.rel, opened in the CodeWalker editor, maps the audio loading zones of a Liberty City expansion larger than GTA 4’s city, drawn as several islands. The files from the cancelled single-player DLC Agent Trevor are in better shape, PC Gamer writes, and X user affmal has posted their full mission list.
TJGM, who posted that outline, spelled out on X what it is, in remarks relayed by Eurogamer: “This isn’t a screenshot included in the leak. This is data viewed in CodeWalker and then screenshotted after.” The gameplay in his video comes from a cancelled mod, PC Gamer writes, and Polygon and Eurogamer both say nothing proves this Liberty City was reassigned to a GTA 6 expansion.
Paris turns up too, at two very different sizes on September 24, 2026. French site jeuxvideo.com describes a semi-open zone built for linear missions in a cancelled story expansion, tied to Trevor. GameRant describes one apartment with the Eiffel Tower as a flat image behind the balcony, and says the images appear to have come down after copyright takedown requests.
On September 18, 2022, a user going by teapotuberhacker put 90 development videos of GTA 6 on GTAForums, in a 3GB file. The 192GB described four years later, to the day, runs sixty-four times that size. Rockstar Games put the cost of the 2022 hack at 5 million dollars, and Arion Kurtaj was given an indefinite hospital order on December 21, 2023.
Take-Two Interactive has begun scrubbing that material from the internet, IGN reported on September 21, 2026: YouTube videos and posts carrying visuals or audio from the batch have been taken down, and creators who post it risk copyright strikes. TJGM wrote on X, in remarks IGN relayed, that “Take-Two are now taking down YouTube videos regarding the latest #GTA leaks,” and described his own video as a list of files, a data visualisation made with a fan tool and one cut line of GTA 5 dialogue, with nothing on GTA 6.
Rockstar Games and Take-Two Interactive have published no statement about the files, and those takedowns are their only visible answer. After gameplay videos surfaced in August 2026, the studio published a letter to its community on August 26, calling the leaks “heartbreaking for our team” and holding the release on November 19, 2026.
