Sony's two Vice City DualSense pads, shown on September 3, 2026, went up for preorder on September 10. The white one is at PlayStation Direct and at retailers, the black one only at PlayStation Direct.
: Adds the US restock, the price recorded at each retailer, from $84.88 to $84.99, and the sold-out listing at GameStop.
Sony opened preorders for its two limited-edition Grand Theft Auto VI DualSense controllers on September 10, 2026, at 10am local time in Europe and 10am ET in the US, priced at $84.99 in the US, £74.99 in the UK and €84.99 in the euro zone. The white pad sells through direct.playstation.com and participating retailers; the black one is a PlayStation Direct exclusive wherever that store operates. Both ship November 19, 2026.
Preorders for the two limited-edition Grand Theft Auto VI DualSense controllers opened on September 10, 2026, at 10am local time across Europe and 10am ET in the US, priced at $84.99 in the US, £74.99 in the UK and €84.99 in the euro zone. Both ship on November 19, 2026, the day the game launches.
Where the two pads are sold is what separates them. Sony’s September 3, 2026 post lists the white edition ‘in limited quantities globally at direct.playstation.com and at participating retailers’. The black one, it says, is available ‘exclusively through direct.playstation.com where available’, and ‘in other regions through select retailers’.
In practice that means one seller. Anywhere PlayStation Direct operates, the black pad is available nowhere else, a split the French outlets Numerama and Frandroid both recorded when listings went up on September 10, 2026. The white edition went out through the usual retail chains at the same €84.99.
The first sellouts came within the morning. Numerama reported retailers already out of stock while others had not yet opened their listings.
US stock came back five days later. The Shortcut recorded the American listings on September 15, 2026, with Walmart the only seller off the $84.99 list price, by eleven cents.

Sony describes a shimmering, color-shifting finish that pulls together the hues of a Vice City sunset and the glow of neon lights. The blog post also cites ‘custom palm tree details molded directly into the controller,’ set alongside the official Grand Theft Auto VI branding. The post is signed by Isabelle Tomatis, Vice President of Global Marketing at Sony Interactive Entertainment.
The limited runs change nothing about what the pad does in the game. The standard DualSense, which ships with every PS5, already carries three of the four PS5 features Sony credits GTA 6 with using, from haptic feedback to adaptive triggers.
At $84.99, the controller costs $5 more than the game’s Standard Edition, listed at $79.99 on the PlayStation Store. The recommended price shifts by market.
| Market | Recommended price |
|---|---|
| United States | $84.99 |
| Euro zone | €84.99 |
| United Kingdom | £74.99 |
| Japan | ¥12,480 |
Sony has never put a number behind ‘limited quantities’, and promised no restock when preorders opened. The post names no console bundle, no matching headset, and no Grand Theft Auto VI version of the DualSense Edge. No such Xbox controller has been announced.
