GTA 6 collector's box: the $399.99 Vice City Collection

Rockstar Games has been selling a collector’s box for Grand Theft Auto VI since September 24, 2026: The Goodtime State, Vice City Collection, priced at $399.99 in the US. The Rockstar Newswire opened pre-orders “while supplies last.” Purchases are limited to one per person, and the box ships from November 19, 2026, the day the game comes out, according to Gamekult. RockstarINTEL reports pre-orders open in North America and Europe, at £349.99 in the UK and CA$559.99 in Canada, with Asia, Latin America and Australia to follow at a later date.

The game is not in the box. Polygon puts it plainly: anyone who wants the collection and the game will pay at least $480, plus shipping, since the Rockstar Store listing states the box is not eligible for free shipping. GTA 6 itself is still sold in two editions only, Standard at $79.99, the only one sold in a box with a download code inside, and Ultimate at $99.99, digital only. Until September 24, 2026, this page said Rockstar had announced no collector’s edition of GTA 6, which was accurate when it was published on September 14. The Newswire announcement made it wrong, and the page was corrected on September 26, 2026.

What the $399.99 buys

Rockstar describes the set, in an X post quoted by Polygon, as a “premium Grand Theft Auto 6 collectible set featuring all the essentials for a good time, inspired by Leonida’s hit TV show, Macca the Gator.” Macca is an alligator, the mascot of a fictional TV show inside the game. The Rockstar Store listing gives the box as 19 by 13.5 by 12.5 inches; until September 26, 2026 this page carried Gamekult’s 48.26 by 33.02 by 30.48 cm, roughly 19 by 13 by 12 inches. The collection had surfaced that morning in a list of 55 Rockstar Store products spotted by Insider Gaming, hours before Rockstar made it official.

Four times the price of the Red Dead box

Rockstar has sold two collector’s boxes before, and the closer match is the one that left the game out.

The Red Dead box carried the line “Red Dead Redemption 2 sold separately” in its announcement. The GTA 6 set repeats that model at four times the price. Against the GTA V Collector’s Edition the gap is $250, and the 2013 box had the game in it. Both boxes include a New Era cap and a map of the state: Los Santos in 2013, Leonida now.

Revealed later than either precedent

Rockstar revealed the GTA V Collector’s Edition on May 23, 2013, 117 days before its September 17 launch. The Red Dead Redemption 2 Collector’s Box arrived on June 4, 2018, 144 days before October 26. The Goodtime State, Vice City Collection came 56 days before November 19, 2026. As of September 26, 2026, 54 days remain, and no box reaches anyone before launch day.
